In this article you will learn what languages we offer and how they will behave in Checkout.
Locale is the language of the checkout and we support a limited set of locales per country, as we want to ensure that all localized descriptions are keeping a high standard. The locale only affects the language and will never interfere with the purchase country and currency configuration. For more general information about language localization see link.

Above table is all supported languages, we still support other locales but they will fallback to the supported locale. For example fr-GB would fallback on french translations. If a locale is sent in which is not in our support list at all for example zh-CN we will fallback to English. Locale is set on the create order or update order call using the locale property.
