Klarna’s payment methods

Klarna offers three payment methods to cover all consumer needs - Pay now, Pay later and Slice it. Each payment method is associated with a badge which includes a unique icon together with the Klarna logo. Pay later and Slice it are available in the Klarna payment methods integration. Availability of Pay now as a standalone payment method varies from country to country.

Pay now Customers who want to pay in full at checkout can do it quickly and securely with Klarnas Pay now-option - using credit/debit card or Klarna Direkt, Sofort, SEPA, Direct Debit. Customers who want to pay in full at checkout can do it quickly and securely with Klarnas Pay now-option - using credit/debit card or Klarna Direkt, Sofort, SEPA, Direct Debit. Pay now as a standalone method availability varies from country to country.

Invoice is the main service that Klarna offers. This product is available in all of Klarnas countries. Like all of Klarnas services it only requires “top of mind” information for the customer to shop, the social security number, address, phone number and email address. It also makes it possible for the customer to shop even if the customers bank account is empty for the moment since the customer have at least 14 days in which to pay.

In some markets there is also a special campaign available for Klarnas merchants, “Shop now - pay in X”. This campaign can be used any month around the year, but often used around Christmas where the customers shop before Christmas and pays in February.

Klarna also offers different types of part payment services. The most popular type of part payment is account.

• Part pay in your own pace. The customer decides for themselves how much they want to part pay of each month - but at least 1/24th of the total amount. There is also a country specific minimum amount
• Collect all the purchases in a month to one invoice. This includes all purchases made at Klarna´s merchants, for example: a t-shirt on merchant A, a book on merchant B and a perfume from merchant C would end up on the same invoice.
